Our comfortable B&B is situated on the hillside above the small villages of Tan Yr Allt and Talysarn. We have marvellous sea
views across Caernarfon Bay, and on a clear day (especially in the evening, with the sun setting over the bay) it is possible
to see right across the Irish Sea to the Wicklow Hills.
Cae Mawr is conveniently situated for access to some of the loveliest hills in Snowdonia and very close to the end of the
Nantlle Ridge, which is generally rated second only to Crib Goch as a high-level ridge walk. A number of lower-level walks
are also available in the area, including several that pass by the end of the track up to the house.
A variety of beautiful beaches, castles and stately homes are within easy reach, including the famous Italianate village of
Portmeirion.
